- Mild Food Aggression:
The aggression starts with a mild phase where the dog is not very possessive about the food and may not cause much danger to anyone. The dog only shows warning signs to someone who tries to touch the food by growling and showing his teeth.
- Moderate Food Aggression:
If not controlled, the mild aggression will turn into moderate aggression. The dog gets more protective of his food and can do more than just growling in order to protect the food. A dog usually lunges and snaps when someone tries to reach the food.
- Severe Food Aggression:
It is a very serious stage where dog gets too much protective of his food. At the stage, the dog can bite without any second thought if anyone approaches his food.
